Jalapeño Popper Crescent Bites

With a few ingredients this appetizer can be folded, baked, and served! (Also, you can use all lower-fat ingredients to make it a little healthier.)

Ingredients:
1 can of Crescent dough (reduced-fat)
1 ounce cream cheese (reduced fat), cubed
16 Jalapeño slices (fresh or jarred)
About 3 strips of bacon, cooked, crumbled (center-cut)

Directions:
Oven pre-heated to 350 degrees F.

Roll out Crescent Dough into triangles. Slice in half.

Cut blocked cream cheese into one ounce strips. (1/4 of block.) Slice up 1-2 ounce strips into small cubes.  Put one cube on each crescent triangles.

Chop the jalapeños in to small pieces, or used the pre-sliced jalapeños. Place on top of cream cheese.

Cook and crumble bacon. (My favorite method is the Pampered Chef bacon cooker you use in the microwave and helps the fat drop beneath the meat – keeping it crispy.)
Sprinkle evenly over cream cheese and jalapeño.

Roll or pinch crescent dough closed.

Bake, 10-15 minutes.

Makes 16 creamy, spicy little bites.
