Bacon-wrapped Asparagus

This is an easy side dish that could easily be served at dinner parties as you know exactly how many people you need to make this side for and can easily portion out.  It’s also simple that once you throw it in the oven, you’re pretty much set until it’s time to plate and serve.  We served it for Christmas dinner with a smoked Turkey that my brother-in-law made for us, but this would be great for Thanksgiving or Easter too.

Feel free to change out our sauce in case you want to change it up, but the basic recipe is easy to do.

Ingredients
1 package/pound asparagus spears, trimmed
4 slices of bacon, halved
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar

1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Brown Sugar

Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Divide bundles of asparagus into portions that you need.  Wrap with bacon.  Place into baking dish.

Mix Dijon, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. Pour over top.

Sprinkle the top with the brown sugar.

Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the asparagus is tender. If needed, broil to caramelize brown sugar on the top to make the bacon crispy and sweet.

Serve immediately.
