Happy Halloween, everyone! This is such a fun and festive time of the year to celebrate. The appetizers can be super spooky or super cute. I loved this recipe cause first, who doesn’t love jalapeno poppers? Second, they are just so stinking adorable. All of your guests are going to devour these jalapeno popper mummies!
Ingredients
- 10 Jalapeño Peppers
8 oz Softened Cream Cheese
- 8 oz Pepper Jack Cheese, shredded (may want to use cheddar or combination if less spicy is preferred.)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 4-6 pieces of cooked bacon, chopped
- Candy Eyeballs
- 1 package Crescent Rolls
Directions:
Preheat your over to 400° in line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Slice jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and scoop out the inside, including seeds and white part.
In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic, and bacon.
Fill your jalapeño peppers with your cheese mixture.
Unroll the crescent roll and allow to sit at room temperature until more pliable. Using a rolling pin, make the dough into one large rectangle. Cut into 20 slices.
Wrap one piece of dough around each pepper, leaving a small opening for the eyes.
Bake for about 10-14 minutes, until golden brown.
Allow to cool slightly, then add the candy eyes.
Serve warm!
