Cocktails make everything better, right? And a great margarita always makes me happy. This margarita had a fun fruit syrup element, that everyone can make from any fruit. Once you have the ingredients, just put them in the shaker and serve among friends!
(Bonus of this recipe is that you can make as much as a glass or two at a time, or a large punch bowl to serve a party.)
Ingredients
- 2 parts silver tequila
- 2 parts lemon or lime juice (plus 1 tbsp for syrup)
- 1 part blackberry simple syrup – (blackberries, lemon juice, sugar, and water.)
- Fresh sage leaves
- 1/2 part orange cointreau
- Garnish: sage leaves, Blackberries
Directions
Make Simple Syrup: Add blackberries to 1 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Bring to a boil and simmer until berries are softened. Strain and allow to cool.
In a shaker with ice, add: 2 parts silver tequila, 2 parts lemon (or lime juice), 1 part blackberry simple syrup, 1 sage leaf, and 1/2 part orange cointreau.

Garnish with sage and a blackberry.
